Buy it now for $5499?! Yeah, like that's gonna happen. When Otari MTR90 24-tracks go for $2500... Still, the M56 series is an wonderful sounding machine. I'd still go for an M79 series if I were looking for a 2-in machine: they have varispeed, more room to get in and work on the transport, they run cooler, plus the option for 24 tracks. And as I said, if I were starting from scratch, I'd probably look at MCI, since they are so much more plentiful.
Regarding the PSU for the Sony MCI machine, probably one call to Randy Blevins would get you the unit you needed. If not, probably there are other options for a PSU. It's just a matter of which voltages you need and how many amps. My spare M-79 PSU might even work.
