SM-57, SM-58 and e835

I use the e835..I find it a very good mic, especially robust the amount of times Ive dropped it off my desk...if you're selling the other one for $40 let me know, Id maybe hang on to these if I was you...they're all good and you may find yourself looking for them in the future??

Did you use this for live applications or recording or both? Have you used this for miking an electric guitar amp? How did it turn out?
 
So it looks like there is still no general consensus on if I was to only get one piece of equipment right now, whether going with a decent entry level LDC mic or getting entry level mic preamp as my first step to improve my sound from a recording equipment standpoint. I mean I assume getting a $3,000 Taylor will also imrpove my acoustic guitar sound over my $500 Seagull. ;)

My choices are if going with a LDC mic:

recording vocals, its perfect for my vocals which lack fullness..I use a condenser for my acoustic but DI my electrics in
