simple question i dont know the answer.

What do you call the guitar stand that holds an acoustic guitar in playing position on stage for a live performance? You know so i can have the acoustic set up at my height and angle, and switch back and forth between that and my electric already stapped on to me.

Ive searched "guitar stand,holder ect." on most music sites as well as ebay and cant find anything but a regular old guitar stand to place your guitar on while your not playing it.

man i cant believe they cost that much. maybe with some scrap guitar stands and a welding torch i can come up with my own.
 
I hear ya on the price thing, I would find an old cymbal or mic stand myself, make some sort of clamp with padding and all and frankenstein something together even with bolts and some sort of connecting pieces from a hardware store without looking tacky. Should'nt be too hard...I'm looking into it myself.

Hmmmmm..maybe a bunch of helium balloons? No that wouldn't work too well for an outside gig~~ :mad:
