I got all the DLs, but I can't remember what to do with a .rar file, or how to convert it! Do I have to read this entire thread again???;)

You just need the .rar converter to decompress the .rar files. I think the one I got is a microsoft. If you do a search you can find one. After they are decompressed they'll transfer into a new folder as wave files.

OK, interesting post there... so anyway, can you hook me up with those Nirvana multitracks or what??

I've got some. Wanna share ?

Hi everyone,
I've got some of those tracks, and if anyone wants some, I'll be happy to share. I would not refuse some tracks in exchange, like Nirvana or other Queen, but I can give some DVDs to people. Those tracks were given to me, after all.

Here is a list of what I have :

Beatles Sgt Pepper
Stevie Wonder Superstition
Queen Bohemian rhapsody and Killer Queen
Marvin Gaye What's going on ?
NIN The beginning of the end

Thanks for sharing !

I would lurve a copy of the Pepper tracks if anyone can steer me in the right direction.

Hello! Can anyone pm me for Queen's Get down make love and Brigton Rock? A Million Thanks! :D

I wonder how many hits this post has generated for HomeRecording.com?
And also. I have Take It Easy by the eagles. Its only 9 tracks and its a demo but the full song is there. Let me know if anyone wants the link.

Ahh... never mind....

LMAO............I understand why your original question, my only take on the "sticky" is that for a lot, if not most of us, there is a "value" to these various recordings hence the threads, "unusual" status.

LOL!:D You've found me out ausrock...:D:o

..and yeah I do understand the importance of this thread but I had to ask why we're 'pinning' attention to, for the lack of a better term, what really amounts to no more than a bootleg download thread.... Maybe there's more to it, I don't know... I just had to know why this thread was made to stick..... Basically that's the crux of my original question (which maybe I shouldn't have resurrected .. )..... Maybe it is, as you say, an 'unusual' thread.. and thus warrants the 'sticky' status.. ;)

I uploaded the Pepper tracks, but the quality sucked so much, I got bored after a few minutes. Perhaps because I uploaded them to Reaper, which I'd never used before.

It's interesting to listen to the separate tracks though; nothing beyond that, I thought.

Yeah, some GREAT insight in that book. Like how they recorded the Bass for paperback writer using the studio monitor as a huge microphone!

George Martin has a couple books. All You Need Is Ears and With A Little Help From My Friends, which is about making SGT Pepper. The latter was the one that they were saying was Pro McCartne (I made a mistake in my previous post) But again, IMO, is a great book.

why doesnt anyone know that the bass on paper back writer was the most the most amazing sounding thing ever......:)

Hey gang,

Would LOVE the Pepper tracks. Can someone kindly PM me a link?

A million thanks,
Jon The Beatle Nut

why doesnt anyone know that the bass on paper back writer was the most the most amazing sounding thing ever......:)

I think they did it for Rain too. Then they slowed the whole thing down for an even more washed out effect along with the heavily compressed drums.

damn 1 year late, anyone know where I can get these now? A friend of mine wrote Recording the Beatles so I would love to listen to these as I am reading.

Google is your friend, Try beatles and multitracks. Good luck

Can anybody help me out with Brighton Rock and Get Down Make Love by Queen? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I have lots of Multitracks to trade (around 25 in wav format and around 50 in mogg format).

Trust me you aint missing anything by not having GET Down or Brighton Crap...And I think most people on here have those Rock Band ones too...check your pm...
