s/pdif input on US144 Mk2

Is it possible to record a 88kHz 24 bit s/pdif input and later break it up into files with the US144 MK2. Can this be done with the packaged Cubase software? is there any easier way?

Yes you can. As for an easier way, what do you mean by easier.
