So, any recording going on?

I have a new tune I'm arranging now, but I'm waiting on a Roland R-5 drum machine I bought from E-bay. I know how bad my drums suck using the Casio CTX-1000. Funny but I don't get too many bad comments on those Casio drums unless it's on one song in particular.

No matter, they DO suck for the most part. I'm here to fix it as soon as I get this machince.

Pipe, did you ever get over to NoWhereRadio.com to listen to any of my mixes? Maybe that wasn't you that had requested the link. I can't remember now.

I dont think I did, but where are they ?

For me this weekend is bleak...the spec band of doom is in

Well the link is www.nowhereradio.com. Type in:: Michael Carter.
I'll be on the county charts. Try not to let the ground-loop problem I had bother you too much..

I had to .....the hell wwith it. I'm goinn' to bed..lEt me know what you think. yadyadayada.

I went straight for back to the city

dude you need help :) not in a bad way: I think I can hear it in your voice that you are doing all the technical stuff by yourself...DAMN its hard to record yourself singing.

This is a great one with a chorus you wont forget. Vocals are loud and proud and yet somehow they have no toruble sitting in the mix. They dont sound like : SINGER and the rest of the band. All sounds born together

I like the guitar tones, and tho I cant hear really awful compression, I dont hear popping either, so you must have been in real control of your picking dynamics.

As soon as I get to the studio Im gonna download the rest of them.

Do you write songs for other people ever ?

No. I never have written for anyone but me.

It's sometimes hard to turn all the knobs and record yourself, no doubt. And I'm not a great singer by any stretch, but I try to make do on the vocal. By the way, the vocal and guitar was recorded using the MD-441.

That is the first tune I've recorded using the 38-8 and the M-1516 mixer.

Thanks for the good comments.

I was pretty drunk before I retired last night. I don't even remember what time it was.

Wow, hi all! How you guys doin? Yea, I ran into my old keyboard player the other night. Turns out he lives 2 miles from me and he is TOOOOOO GOOD! I mean, TOOO Baaaaaaad!! Ha, were getting togeather to put some drum tracks(digital:rolleyes: )for rough ideas for HIS drummer. Shit, I've gotta buy a couple of more mic's quick:eek:And LEARN some quick midiizer rules!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I knew I should have been playin with that thing instead of bla, bla bla here!!
I guess they have someone scouting for them for jazz players(I am NOT a JAZZ player:D if you know what I mean?)as someone is interested in his originals. The songs are TOOOO GOOD also! Way beyond me though! He needs some demo work(oh oh, am I in trouble now!) Talk recording is one thing, playin engineer with jazz players is another. Gotta do it in my house, no real studio. But they want me to do it, sooooo...
Hey Senn, I feel like a shithead cause I haven't been able to listen to your stuff yet. My wife is on her computer 16 hrs a day for ebay,(she sells women "SHABBY CHIC" stuff)
Boy do they spend bucks on bullshit!! Ha. I have to use her's as my piece of shit coughs on an email:rolleyes: I WILL take a listen this weekend though. Lookin forward to it. I had an unusual midi thing happenin last week. Some how I had a midi feedback from my keyboard to the computer, and the music sounded like Bill Dogget playin Jimmy Smith on a B-3 after 10 fatties!:D It was great! Sit right down and joined in on guitar through 2 FX boxs,(just to cassette) in stereo. I have a couple of those little car wedges with 6" x 9" oval speakers(one at each end of the console)driven by an old Harmon Kardon stereo tube receiver, driven by the stereo outs from the fx drive. Man do they SING. Sustain up the ass at low volume, and stereo delay from left to right. I just closed my eyes and played for 20 minutes. I was in "the COW PALACE(frisco) in my mind.(Played there a half dozen times when I was 17)
Let me know how your doin throughout the night. I'm trying to load some soundfont
drums, and find some good "sounds"! So I'll be here. And by the way, excuse my "verbosity", as John Sayers said, I can't help myself:rolleyes:
fitz:D
