I also own a Mesa DR along with the 5150. It is considerably more versatile than the 6505/5150 (6505 is the same amp as the 5150, same with the 6505+ and 5150II). The 6505 is pretty much a one trick pony (however it does that trick really well) with rather shit cleans, where as the mesa will actually pull off good clean, semi driven, and super over driven tones.
If you decide to go DR, remember to run it on Diode and not Rect (switch in the back) when you crank up the gain on the red ch.
