Yeah but to be honest I watched a lot of videos online as well of the Jet City amp. It just has this tone to it. I can't put my finger on it, but the more I hear it the less I like it. I'm not sure how much a pedal can change the way the amp sounds. At this point I'm not really sure what I like or don't like. It was awesome when I was 15 years old and any old amp with a distortion channel made me happy. Why do I have to be so damn picky now?!

well ..... hmmmmmmm .

Here's my take on it and advice to you.

First, as to why you're picky right now, it doesn't matter why ..... you just are. It's like saying, "Why do I like chocolate or why don't I like fish" .... you just do and it's not really subject to you changing your mind on it.
So don't waste any time worrying about that aspect.

Now ...... you're not sure what you want or even definite about the sound you want out of your amp.
So DON'T FREAKIN' RUSH!!

lol ...... take your time ....... get it right the first time and save the money you'd waste going thru a bunch of amps.
It's not like you're headed off on a lucrative world tour next week that absolutely requires the perfect sound.
Use what you got (which is a lot better than many others have to get by with) and go to music stores and try out amps ...... then go and try them again. Find a few you like and bother your friends to let you try theirs and go to the stores that have it and try them until you're absolutely positive. If it takes 6 months so be it.

Not a single son of a biotch wanted to buy my jet city amp on ebay for only $400. Can you believe that? Might end up in the pawn shop for much less... LOL

I am not surprised that cab sounds bad. It has not been designed with any acoustic consideration.

well, to say that james demeter does not know anything about acoustic design, is just silly.

I think that sounds good!

What microphones did you use, and where did you place them? The setup recorded quite a bit of room ambience, but I like it!
