im on the verge of buying reason 3.0,
but i have a quick question...

im into underground hip-hop (see defjux, rhymesayers, ect. for reference),
can reason tackle this kind of production?
im looking for a program that is capable of making beats similar to those on
"funcrusher plus" by company flow. (anyone know what im talking about?)

i'll probably use a lot of samples, but im also planning to purchase
a midi controller keyboard (most likely the Korg MICROcontrol).

how well can reason chop and flip a sample?
should i also cop something along the lines of soundforge for this?

ive heard that reason is great for techno/dance, but what about underground
hip-hop?

(i know you get out what you put in ect. and all that)
 
ethos....chopping and flipping a sample....record it in your audio editing program....save it..import in recycle (thats a propellorheads program too), chop it up, save as a rex file...make a REX player in Reason, open the rex file in that player....tadaaaaaaaaaaa..... nicely sliced for you to flip :)

Yeah Reason is great for techno/dance/trance and so forth...if that's your type of music. Imo it's really just a tool, and you get what you want from it, provided you use it in the right way. Trance/Dance/Hip hop/R'nB/Orchestral(allthough not exactly with a live feel, if done quickly)/Psy. It's really more down to the man behind the controllers that decided what the music is going to sound like.

There is a such thing called opinion and I'm entitled to have one. I thought his rhymes were corny, a bit jovial at best. And I think he drinks Haterade based on his comments towards Bigrush. And that's my opinion!!!
