Question about inputs...

There's a newbie forum for these sorts of questions, the search function is pretty useful too, here's one I ran on "balanced unbalanced":

The instrument input will usually be for inputting instruments. :D You won't get a good healthy line level output from weedy guitar pick ups, that's what the high z input is for.

Read them and all will be explained about balanced vs. unbalanced. Hi Z or High Impedance inputs are intended to use as instrument inputs.........direct guitar and bass. Learn to use the search function. There is a ton of info here already which will probably cover 99% of any questions you may have.
 
Looks like those links to searches die pretty quick.

Type "balanced unbalanced" into the search engine and you'll get tons of threads.
