again...just want to make sure there is not problem with rules...this is a little trick (about 8 seconds into the song) i learned from DCWave in PCM 3... i think it was...or was it 4...anyway...I just did it cuz it sounds cool so if it is 'editing' let me know and ill submit another entry.

thanks

Alright heres mine. Im probably disqualified to compete though because i used drumagog. I felt i would have a lot more fun seeing what i could do with drumagog.

Maybe ill do another mix without drumagog though. If i have time i guess i might.

Let me know what you think.

Danny

I already want to make some changes. Those toms are being weird. Ill do it another time.

The toms are really hard to 'get'. Basically the bleeding on the tom mics is as loud as the toms themselves. Somehow more of the tom hits can be found in the (single) overhead track. Dificult to mix this one.. And a really sticky vocal line.. I can't get it out of my head.. I don't think I'm going to remix mine. So my entry is the final already..

oh yeah, and that static on the bass track at the start. I've got that fishbone de'esser womwhere I think :) thanks for the tip.

The tom mics bleed isnt as loud as the toms themself, the bleed is louder than the toms themselves. Way louder. Thats why for me this was more of a drumagog project. Heh. What im talking about mine is the high tom is way out in front compared to the rest. But the volume is the same. Really strange.

I make fixes later. I need to get out of this studio an go on vacation for a few days. Headin down to Utah. Yahoo!! Heh.

NL5,
I have only been able to reach your domain once since uploading. From my house - from work - no problem.

NL5, there are tons of people posting their mixes on the board to be downloaded...are you going to get those yourself or do we need to either email you or upload to the FTP server.

The FTP should be used for final mixes ONLY!!! I would even go as far to say that if you put your mp3 on the ftp..you shouldnt be posting it for everyone to click on and chew B/W.

If its not your final mix...host it on your own site for people to critique it.
There are many sites out there that will host mp3's for you...and usually..if your a broadband subscriber....your ISP gives you a 10-25 mb webspace for you to use at your disposal. :-)

Hope this helps

Right, sounds fair. I've a mix, that might just be my final also, online on my own space. Should I upload it somwhere else to be able to compete with the contest, or is it OK to leave it where it is?

I've uploaded my entry. We just had a baby and I've had no time to finish this.
