Hello,

I'm currently using Cubase SX along with the Tascam US-2400 and an M-Audio external 8X8 sound board thru Windows XP. Now onto the problem(s)...

My #1 fader suddenly became super sensitive to movement. I.E. A small movement down completely reduces the volume. Then, moving the fader all the way up, only increase the volume a small amount. Basically I've lost control of fader 1, but not "completely". If I adjust the volume via mouse on screen, there is an area where the fader on the Tascam moves from the bottom to the top, but it completely out of sync with the measurements on-screen.

After seeing this problem, I up dated all of the drivers for the Tascam and the M-Audio. Now the first problem still exists, but there's a new one as well.

Moving the volume via mouse, the fader still does the "out of sync" movements, but now there is also no comunication between the Tascam and Cubase. The software moves the Tascam, but the Tascam no longer affects the software. In fact, anything I do on-screen directly efects the board, (buttons light, faders move, etc.) but nothing I do on the board effects the items on-screen.

Quite honestly, I've had nothing but problems with this system since I bought it and I get absolutely no help from Tascam, M-Audio or Cubase. Each one blames the other for any problems. If I call them out on this, they blame Windows XP. It has me to the point where I barely use my studio anymore. If anyone here might know of an answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for any help in advance,
Dave
