powercore vs uad-1

are these cards really compatible with sonar 3 producer and is there really any great advantage?
 
Powercore is more for the Verbs n Effects.

UAD is more for the Compressors and EQ's

I'd grab both.

And Yes Sonar 3 Does support it via VST.

unless you wanna spend like 1K for the sony stuff...still not sure if the sony dynamics can compare to both 1176's, la2a and fairchild! :eek:
 
The oxford eq is a massenberg algorithm if I recall. If you have ever used an Oxford... You understand why these are sought after. :)
 
i bought the uad 1 project pak but you really need

the studio package

also there are some issues with keeping the plugins operating also
powercore is not compatible with sonar (accourding to the manufactures representative -tech support)

i will probably return the card since i can't afford the expensive package -apparently the project pak is for people who already own the full package and just want an inexpensive second card. the fair child is very interesting though
