New song - now with 100% more abomination!

This is the first full song I've recorded with the Abomination since adding it's new pickup.

The Song We Wrote Backwards (click the title to download)

I actually wrote this song based on what the lyrics of one of my band's songs sounded like when played backwards.

Thus, as a special treat.

As always, feedback is appreciated.
 
Cool song, Fun Lyrics

Love the sinewave synth thing going on behind the vocal in the chorus very cool sound.
Bass seemed a little low (on PC Speakers)
Fuzzy guitar in the backgound was to much fuzz and not enough attack for my taste if that makes sense

I am going to have to go with Bristol on the guitar thing. I feel like if you had the drive turned down it could be more aparent, and drive the song a bit more. The 25 sec intro sounded like the beginning of Castlevania for nintendo, I thought it was a bit unnecessary, but that is personal preferance. The chorus is great. The vocal in verse needs to be as prominant as the vocal in the chorus. The outro is cool. I thought the drums were a little off in some parts, could use a retracking. With a hook like the one you have, you can afford to have some things sound a bit off. I thought it was a well executed track. Could use some work but overall has a nice modern rock vibe to it. I really liked it.

Hmmm... Maybe I'll look into a different amp for the next one. The Zinky doesn't have a lot of tone control.

The intro is actually just the fade at the end reversed. You're right though, 25 seconds may be a bit long for it.
 
Takes a while to get going. Guitars could come up a lot. The snare could use some attention too, like a new head or get the thing tuned. It sounds like he's hitting a bucket of beads. The tune itself is pretty cool though, could just use some polish
 
Oh man... I don't know how you'll take this but I liked the backwards version of "Backwards" more than the forwards version...

The backwards version comes across like a chipmunks version of a Sigur Ros song, and that sits well with me :D
 
Bulls: Do you mean lead or rhythm guitars (or both) that could use a volume bump?

valacirca: I long ago realized that most of my songs sound better when sped up to chipmunk speeds! (Fortunately, I'm not alone in that. Most emo instantly becomes several times better at 1.5x speed. Few things are quite as hilarious as listening to the Chipmunks singing about cutting themselves to sleep at night!)

I like all the sounds in it, the intros fine as well, mix sounds great on my phones

Hahaha, you know, I've never actually listened to any of your songs, but this one was pretty cool!
