New pickups

Cephus, I have a GFS pickup in my guitar. The Crusader, which is basically the same output as a Duncan Invader, but with a less harsh tone. While I haven't tried their lower output pickups, I've heard many good things about them, and zero bad things. I'd say give it a shot, and if you don't like it, you haven't really lost that much money.

I'll let you know when they get here. I bought the pizza-vomit pickguard with the chrome PAFs. The rest are pretty much out of stock. Gimme the remnants every time, baby.

If they suck, I'm sure I'll bitch about it loudly. However, i do tend to like quirky junk that other people think sucks.

I've never heard any one slam Carvin pickups, maybe the company but never their guitars or picksup.

What model pickups if you recall? I bought a set of their AP11 single coils and a C22B humbucker mount on the pickguard completely wired. They sound better than the stock pickups on my LP, Strat and Tele. I put them on a 2000 squire strat that sadly peforms better now than the previously mentioned guitars

I have some Bill Lawrence pickups on order for the tele and strat in hope of evening things out.
Does that mean it's possible that my Squier Bullet Special, when it's equipped with a TV Jones PowerTron humbucker, might end up out performing my Fender So Cal Speed Shop Strat, with it's stock Alnico humbucker? If so, how much do Bill Lawrence pickups run? Will I get sticker shock, then have to decide "sticker shock be damned, I can't have a Squier out performing a Fender?" Does this mean that I'm no longer a guitar player/collecter, but a guitar junkie? :p

Matt
