New Members: Introduce Yourself Here!

Hello HomeRecording.com community,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as a new producer in training, embarking on an exciting venture into music production. My journey in the entertainment industry spans several years, primarily as a dancer, where I've had the incredible opportunity to work on and produce a few shows. This background has given me a unique perspective on rhythm, performance, and the power of storytelling through art.

Now, my passion has led me to explore the realm of music production, and I've embarked on an innovative project—creating an AI girl group. This group features custom voice models I’ve meticulously generated, inspired by the distinct vocal qualities of Britney Spears, Tate McRae, and Ariana Grande. @3scharm3d. It’s an ambitious project that I’m deeply passionate about and eager to see evolve.

As I stand on the ground day of this musical journey, I am here to seek your valuable feedback and tips. Your expertise and insights will be immensely helpful as I aim to produce original songs that resonate and captivate. I am looking forward to learning from this community and sharing this amazing journey with you all.

Thank you for welcoming me, and I can't wait to connect and collaborate with you! @thedanielkenneth

Hi! My name is David. I’m a self taught music producer and pianist and I’m only just feeling confident enough to start putting my music out there. I’ve recently launched a youtube channel and would love to hear your feedback!
Welcome.

For this site, best to post your song in the MP3 clinic. Just post the link to your YouTube post. Mostly what you will get back is mix advise. None of us here can pick a hit, that is why we are here. :)

Gave it a listen, David. I like the music. Plenty of thought in there.
Some of my music is similar. Piano is a great instrument.
I'm not much of a pianist, but I try. Do you actually play on keys, or is it all programmed?
I'll just improvise on keys, and please myself.

Thank you for listening! I play the keys and record it as a midi through a vst. Mostly I do just improvise and sometimes it’ll just evolve. Do you have any music uploaded?

Hello, All,
I am Antonstudio, and it's a pleasure to join this chat. I have been out of studio recording for about 25 years, and I am just about to restart. Therefore I will have more questions than answers. I am more of a songwriter/singer/musician than a recording engineer type, although I have operated a (very) small studio a long time ago.
I intend to restart just to get songs I wrote over the years done in the best way possible.
I will eventually get into the whole computer recording thing, but as of now, I will use a standalone multitrack recorder I already have, and hopefully transfer out to computer for mixing by someone who is more adept at mixing than me.
Well, that's about all for now, and again, I am happy to be here, and I hope to learn from you guys. Have a great day.
Antonstudio.

Tell us about your genre/influences/etc! Glad to have you join us!

I've been home recording in the modern sense since 2009. I am here like many because I need some tips on fixing issues with my sound devices.
Welcome Josie...now! To avoid 'ping-pong' posts where we gradually extract information about your setup, when you come back with your problems, PLEASE give us a list of the equipment in the 'chain' with makes and model numbers.

Questions about sound qualities, noises e.g. should be accompanied with a short clip. For a noise for example, speech or guitar say, at -20dBFS for 20 secs followed by 20 secs of as quiet as you can be at the same settings. And please attach as a 320K MP3. YTs are a hassle for me at least.

Dave.

old fart... used to do vocals in a quartet and play trumpet and baratone. Trying to get back into it at retirement. Got a tascam dp03sd cant get anything to work.... I loaded a couple of songs from the computer and when I go to songs it only shows one file and with headphones pluged in I get nothing. Just simple question, is the headphone mono or stereo ? it doesnt say anywhere that I find. I had to order a special cable to go from this unit to the amp so havent tried that yet.
Once I download background track... how does it get to a track on my recording?
Not sure if this is the proper place to put questions but I am frustrated !
Thanks,
Phil
