New Original Tune: Good Morning (Hardcore Punk like Gorilla Biscuits, NOFX)

I wrote this one about how everyone is hooked on their phones and caffeine, and people reach for both from the moment they wake up in the morning. The two feed off of each other all day long and it’s a really unhealthy cycle.

The music is of course kind of chaotic. Challenging to make the lyrics intelligible because of the dense mix and speed of the song, but probably acceptable for this genre. I’d love to get you thoughts on the mix, especially from those familiar with this style of music! Thanks for the input and feedback as always!

I have 4 sets of background vocals. Here’s a second mix. Better? Worse? I tried to take some of the harshness out of the vocals, made the vocals a little less prominent, did some pitch correction, EQd the guitars and drums to pop a little more. Thoughts?

I like the song a lot. The vocals are good, the guitars and bass too. The drums sound a little bit too upfront to me. Maybe thats just personal taste of mixing. But overall is good.

Cool tune. I rather like it. It's almost two songs, innit? There is a clash of musical themes that creates an edgy tension. I dunno - gut feel. It's good.

I liked the first mix better. The layers sit well and it sounded like you lost one spot of twinned guitar in the 2nd mix which sounded really good first time around.
