Anybody got one?

Seems to be cheap enough for me to afford...

Man, if I had a Neumann I'd be a rich man (or at least for my age). Looks nice but I'm just bias about Neumann cause of how Danny Cary of Tool recorded his toms with them on "laturalus" and how amazing that sounded.

Seems to be good, I say go for it!

well this one is going for 500.00 brand new... I'd say that's cheap for a neumann which is why I'm considering adding it to my collection.

Is this the only dynamic mic that Neumann has on the market?

You should be aware that its a dynamic mic. Neumann's first. Figure the odds its going to have a few rough edges. Not to be confused with the BCM-104 which looks very similar and is a condensor.

Also read Neumann's website and sweetwaters, as long as I'm remembering right seems that either neumann's using the capsule from a sennheiser or all the electronics, can't remember, but anyway I believe it gives the model sennheiser the technlogy is borrowed from.

I have had one for a while and i LOVE the thing. Totally great. Neumann's firt ever dynamic microphone.... I have been using it EVERY time when I am recording a rock bass.... EVERY time. It replaced the RE20 or even the TLM170 or BLUE mouse or FET 47 I was using for bass usually!

Considering it has been rocking me over a few zillion dollars worth of microphone, I would have to say: YES this mic is worth owning.

Check out the "quick pick" i wrote about it in EQ mag this month.....

Just thumbed through my copy of the October EQ. No BCM-705 quick pick. Maybe its coming up in November.
