Need help with audio mix

I've been working on my Jimmy, even watched Rear Window the other night for inspiration but I'm just not hitting on all cylinders. If anyone has any suggestions regarding EQ, pitch, intonation, inflection. etc - I would greatly appreciate it!

Yeah - you nailed the problem. I thought I was getting somewhere, but when I listened to day I realized how fail it is. This Jimmy stuff is hard - I didn't realize how much he put into it.

I knew my enunciation was bad, but I didn't realize it was that bad :-( I think I'm just gonna give it up. There's no way I'm gonna take it to the next level. The masters make it look so easy.

Just goofing around. I used a lpf and added some film audio noise. I was reaching out to other amateur Jimmy impersenators for critique and potential networking opportunities.

dude just goofing around, late and tired. When I'm not working out new drum, bass, guitar, piano, vocal parts, recording or mixing I like to try and work on my Jimmy Stewart. I thought everyone did this, my bad

I think maybe it sounds a bit too nasally for him (or the wrong kind of nasal?) and as mentioned, I little more hesitation and/or stuttering might help.

I always thought I did a pretty good Jimmy, but I don't know that I'd ever want to record it - probably wouldn't stack up.

I like the way you described that - gulp for air and barking. I will give it a go tomorrow with renewed vigour.
