I've been working on my Jimmy, even watched Rear Window the other night for inspiration but I'm just not hitting on all cylinders. If anyone has any suggestions regarding EQ, pitch, intonation, inflection. etc - I would greatly appreciate it!

Pretty good.

Add a little more of that hesitation/stuttering thing he did, like he's trying to think of the words to say and then you see his eyes light up when they come.

Yeah - you nailed the problem. I thought I was getting somewhere, but when I listened to day I realized how fail it is. This Jimmy stuff is hard - I didn't realize how much he put into it.

dude just goofing around, late and tired. When I'm not working out new drum, bass, guitar, piano, vocal parts, recording or mixing I like to try and work on my Jimmy Stewart. I thought everyone did this, my bad :-)

Hey that's pretty good. Wasn't Mary the wife on It's a Wonderful Life? I don't remember the crazy vag talk though...?

I think maybe it sounds a bit too nasally for him (or the wrong kind of nasal?) and as mentioned, I little more hesitation and/or stuttering might help.

I always thought I did a pretty good Jimmy, but I don't know that I'd ever want to record it - probably wouldn't stack up.

OK - wrong kind of nasal and a little more stuttering and hesitation. I can work with that.

Yeah, gulp for air try to try to bark like a seal around the odd syllable & you'll nail it. Pretend you're talking to Harvey maybe!

I like the way you described that - gulp for air and barking. I will give it a go tomorrow with renewed vigour.
