I might actually drive over there and show it to them. They're only about 5 miles from where I live. I've talked with Scott several times, although I don't know if he is still there.
To tell the truth, I'd much rather deal with Brent Casey. Last time I talked with Scott about a broken mic I got pushed off on someone else. Brent's got more class! I think he actually started Marshall and then went to SP.
I removed the original electronics and replaced it with a tube circuit designed by David Royer. I also replaced the capsule with one from an MXL 2003. It's a 797 capsule, so the mic sounds fantastic!

That does look great!
Keep in mind that brass tarnishes pretty easily. Especially if it's handled a lot by hands.
It'll be higher maintenance. That's probably why most brass mics are painted.
Maybe it can be clear coated with an enamel or something?
