Hi.
I have Cakewalk Music Creator 2003 and a SB Live Soundcard (v 5.1). I run my Line 6 POD 2.0 and Vox TL into the SB card thru the mic input. Of course, I have to turn the output sound so low(to prevent distortion), I can't hear myself play! I know I'm supposed to be using the line level input of the souncard but when I do that, no signal comes thru at all (VU meter reads nada). Help! What am I doing wrong. Music Creator only lets you choose mono or stereo inputs for the soundcard configuration;no mention is made a line vs mic input..
thanks!

Please don't use the mic-input!

Have you set "Line In" as the recording source? (This can be done in the Windows mixer or the Creative Mixer).

Thanks, I will give that a shot. BTW, last night I went into the SB's line input with my guitar cable(outfitted w/ a 1/8 " adapter). This time I got a signal on the VU meter, but it was very weak. I cranked the level volume and channel volumes on my Tonelab, still not enough hmm..

You used the POD too, of course?
