MS-16, TSR-8, Midiizer and IF 1000

My cable was custom-made to slave my Tascam 58 to an ES-50 synchronizer. It is the same cable for the MS-16, 388, 40 series, ATR60 series and ATR80 series. It'll work with your MS-16 for sure if it is to be the slave machine. Th only catch will be whether or not the pinout on the cinch connector on the IF1000 is the same as the ES-50. I imagine it is...its a standard protocol, but if you or anybody has a copy of the manual and can post the page with the slave cable pinout I might just have your solution. I sold my 58 and the ES-50 long ago and this cable has been for sale on eBay here in the US for weeks.

I have an ES-50 and ES- 51, how could I use those with my decks?
 
Why would you want to dothat instead if the midiizer and IF1000??
 
Well, really, the only "option" you get with the ES-50/51 as compared to the MTS-1000 is that the ES series doesn't speak MIDI. Pretty pointless if you are trying to incorporate a DAW into the sync array. AFAIK there's nothing the ES-50 does that the midiizer can't do, and plenty the midiizer does the MTS-1000 can't do. Nothing wrong with the ES-50...it is VERY well made and does what it does well but it was only designed to interface mechanical transports and knows nothing of MIDI. That's why I sold mine.
