more tracks??

hi
i have a computer with an audiophile 2496, a behringer mixer and a tascam 424mkiii

i can only record 2 tracks at once on my computer but i can record 4 on my mkiii. is there a way i could sync all the 6 tracks?

You should just get a sound card with more inputs. There is no way to sync the two.

Well you can sync the Tascam via a converter which puts a sync tone on to track 4 (So you only have 3 tracks to work with). However it is an old analog style sync converter which is not real accurate, and virtually impossible to find. You'd probably spend more money trying to get one then it would cost to invest in another sound card. Check out The M-Audio delta's. I think I saw the delta44 selling for under $150 and that gives you 4 more tracks that'll work in perfect harmony with 2496 (With the same control panel software and all).

You need to look at the new Tascam FW-1804 for $599.00 its a awesome piece of equipment. Its Tascams version of the Digidesgn 002R

Yeah that FW-1804 looks pretty good.

However for the same money I'd go for the Presonus Firepod. It has no adat but has 8 preamps against the Tascam's 4

it looks great, but the delta seems to be what i need (i dont need 18 channels)
