I'm so freakin' in love with the +12db Balanced Inline Impedance Convertor thingy. I've tried a couple different DIs and they didnt really do anything for me. Now I actually like my electric/acoustic, and to be honest, I'm not even sure if that was it's intended purpose lols. Guess I'll have to try the +22db next.

P.S. I've used the MSH-1 and 2s in x/y for drums and it's pretty sweetass as well.

+ another 1 for Naiant! <3

Thanks, but . . . uh . . . aren't you kinda using that the wrong direction  I guess if you had a male-male XLR, it would work, but its input impedance would only be 10K ohms

The DI one is the -22dB, 200K ohm input impedance, male XLR out :o

yeah, I had a male/male xlr adapter. I'm not in it for the specifics. All I know is it made my electric/acoustic sing and I didn't have to use any bump from my pre anymore.

You guys with your fancy terms and scientific measurements and stuff.....*nods head*

hey man...i'm sure there's been plenty of great sonic discoveries as a result of just plugging random shit together and seeing what happens

OTOH, i'm sure that's also led to the death of plenty of gear as well

Like the time the kid helping me set up the system at church plugged the power amp output into the wireless mic reciever output. Carvin sent me a new one for free!

It is called audio "engineering". Not audio "randomly plug shit together and see what works."

That's fantastic, when I become an audio enginner, I'll keep that in mind. Until then, I'll maintain my "musician" status by randomly plugging shit in and using what I think sounds good. Not overly concerned with opinions on the subject, just giving dood a shout out cuz I dig his stuff. QQ more imo. :D

That would have to have been some kind of religious experience for both the wireless receiver AND the power amp :) Effortless for the power amp though

I've honestly lost track of how many sets of Naiant mics we own. I know I've purchased four sets of them here in the last couple of months alone.

I can't seem to get past the main screen on the Naiant website. Anyone else having problems?

I was replacing a friend as in-house engineer at a local venue here in liverpool, and one of the band's engineer was using naiants! was quite surprised to see'em there :)

Must be workin since I just ordered an MSH-1... I think it was two days ago, huh.

I'm rather excited :D

...and it came, and recordings were made, and they were good :D

Another definite +1 for the MSH-1's, as I have had little success with any other mic on all of my acoustics... even the Shure SM-81s were far too boomy sounding, so an omni did the trick :)
