Mic Preamp

It's just as well everyone's brain is different. Otherwise it would be a very boring world ;)

Everyone can only give advice based on their own experiences. In my situation for my purposes I'd go for my above mentioned path given only those choices. Of course everyone's situation is different.

You know what they say about opinions and a$$holes ;)

I by no means am implying that he MUST go down my path.
 
Didnt he want a pre that warms up vocals...this doesnt include accurate ones like the DMP3 and the Grace...I would look into the Presonus Eureka...or the M-audio Tampa. Both sound good and are in that range.
 
Compared to a Behringer mixer, the DMP3 is both accurate and warm. It does not have the high freq stridance you hear in the cheap preamps of the Behringer.

I think the Eureka is out of his price range.

The Tampa, for $350, is an attractive option for a dual pre with compression.
