Have you played one in the last 40 years? SG's have really thin necks (the 60's profile, which is common amongst the Standard, 61 RI, and Supreme, which are certainly the best representation of what an SG is about currently) which are thinner than strat's necks, closer to that of a thicker Ibanez neck.trickedthePigs said:SG's have an extremely thick neck. its one of the hardest guitars for me to play. i find my les paul way easier to play.
