Very nice job. also very nice job on the solo. I can't find anything wrong with it

stellar job you two. A lot of complicated guitar work in it. Only issue I can hear is it sounds like the effect your using on the intro guitars make them sound out of tune. Lead guitar sounds fantastic.

I've always liked that song. That's a good cover. Well done!

Okay, you can all hate me, but I think the vocal should be re-done. It doesn't feel to me like the delivery's right and tight enough, and a couple of notes come across as pitchy. We know RAMI can sing, so I get the impression that if he sang this one twenty times over the next twenty days that the last of the series would be way better than this one. You know, I listen to lots of stuff here and don't say 'retrack' cuz often I don't think the song or the recording is worth it. But this one's good. It deserves the best.

You know what I think that they might have actually been a few cents out of tune...
That's homerecording for you. :laughings:

@dobro: I'll let RAMI make that decision.
I like what we've got.

@Bruhtish:

now I'm really hearing it.
I'm going to re-record that bend tomorrow. I don't even think it was the tuning, just the bend was flat.

Vocals seem just a tad out front for this style. It makes the band sound small.

Honestly, so do I.

Once again, I need ask you if you're familiar with the original? You are aware this is an OZZY song, right?

Aware of the fact that he did it, yeah, but I'm unfamiliar with his stuff. I'm just listening on the basis of how you presented it. Which is what I always do. If Ozzy did it this way, I'd tell him the same thing I told you guys lol.

I had a feeling you didn't know the song. It's an OZZY song. "Tightness" should not enter the conversation. If anything, I might be singing it too "properly".

.....and before we hijack the thread, I have to say that this isn't about me not being able to accept criticism. I think I've shown that I certainly can and I'm always gracious about it. I have another tune on this page that contains about 4 pages of criticism that I accepted 100%. If this was an original, I'd accept what you said as your opinion and go back and listen to see if you have a point.

But, seriously man, if you're going to make a bold statement like "I think the vocals should be re-done", I think you owe it to yourself, Shwarz, and me to go listen to the original first. How do you know I'm not singing it 100% exactly like OZZY (I'm not saying I am). It's not the first time that you come in with a negative, STRONG opinion on a cover that you never heard.

No offense. I have nothing against you on a personal level.

actually I am talking about the WHOLE guitar intro..sounds like one of the high strings are out of tune.

I'll look at it tomorrow. Thanks for the honesty.

Uh-oh. :D

It's hard to emulate Ozzy. I have jammed with some great singers and none of them sounded like him. RAMI, I think your performance is great and on key and sang mostly like the original. Your tone is just different than Ozzy and but who's isn't?

It seems like it's the clean guitar that's a bit off with the acoustics.

Anyhow, I'm off to to Friday evening things. I'll see you people tomorrow!

Agreed. I don't think I sound like Ozzy, but is that really a bad thing? :D

This was just a fun project to do and I appreciate that Shwarz asked me to do it.

Are you going to master this?

I ask because I went to find the Ozzie version and it's considerably louder. I'm not a big fan of modern mixing philosophy...which seems to want to squeeze that last POSSIBLE decibel out of a mix. I just thought you might want to make a side by side comparison.
