I've been using Acid Pro 2.0 (just got it but have been using the demo version for a month) but I'm new to sampling. I have alot of trouble with editing loops. (I try to cut them so they loop smoothly but about half of them don't) Are there any special tips anyone can give me? Also, When I do edit a sample many times Acid changes the tempo of the song.

David - are you editing the loops in Acid or in Soundforge??

Yeah, I've been using sound forge Xp. I also have Cool Edit
Pro LE and Diamond Enhance CD-R but I use Sound forge because it has the acidizing features.

Try and get a programme called beatcalc. It's a freebie and you can put a wave file into it and it will tell you the exact tempo.
Oh and make sure you have zero crossing selected in soundforge.
cheers
John

Thanks. I'll try it. I'll look up what the zero crossings are.

David, look at some of the past threads for the past month or two. I wrote a bunch of tips in a few threads about 3 weeks ago in this forum.

If you CAN'T find them, let me know and I'll type them in again. lol
