Dang!
So that whole project or at least that track were done on the 80-8? How much bouncing had to be done?
I love the sound...it actually has an early 70's vibe to it (which is a compliment).
No bouncing of tracks at all that I can recall. Proper planning and mostly live in the studio was how it was done.
The guys were well prepped and rehearsed for the project. It all went very smoothly considering. We produced an album in about a week and a half, about 4-5 hours a day. I didn't even know that they pressed it until a couple years later when I sent in for a "sample pack" from a pressing plant and they sent a copy of the cover as a sample of their art work capabilities. After that I kept my eyes open looking for a copy of the record. SEVERAL (MANY) years later I bought a copy of the album off a web site that specializes in out of print records.
I THINK I still have the 1/2" masters around here somewhere (maybe). Here's the front and back cover.
I didn't pay this much: http://www.gemm.com/item/ZOKALO/ZOKALO---d---VINYL--LP/GML239972318/
