Please comment on this logo:

LOGO "A"

LOGO "B"

What impressions do you get abou this home project studio based on these logos?

What don't you like? And why?

Please be as specific as you can in describing your impressions. Be honest, I don't care, this is stuff my graphic designer is submitting.
 
don't like A.

I like B.

B makes you look more professional than calling it your "home project studio" does.

I don't like the small ball in A.

B is obviously very wide and, if shrunk to fit on things like business cards, might not remain legible. Have you thought about stacking the words on top of each other?

The red dot gives me a vague sense of political agenda. I don't like that in my recording studio.
 
I also looked at your site.

what's with the cross? Are you recording jesus in there?
 
I like number 2 better, but neither really catches my eye. Number one looks like the japanese flag for the "O" - maybe that is what you were going for?

I guess number two looks a bit too generic for me. I like clean, simple, spartan design, but thats a little bit too much even for me. I would do a bit more with the mic/sun part of the logo.

Just my two cents.

edit - maybe set up number two like the logo on your website, and make the mic/sun larger and put it in place of the cross?
 
Assuming the only difference is the bevel, I like that one.
 
I think you should put the logos on the same page so we can see side by side.


I like the second variation of B - without the slight beveling.
 
I'm looking more for comments, if possible. Especially with the "red dot" logo. I know it is a poor design, but I need to submit feedback about it. Tear it up.

Its looks like a Jap flag, a nazi propaganda insignia, some left-wing bs that no one wants to associate with.

Its no good.

I'd stick with that. Then if you ever need a black and white one, just loose the drop shadow and it will look good too.
 
I agree; looks good. I assume you're adding more to the site than what's there now?
 
The logo on your web site looks good -- but you should play a little bit more aound with it and "pimp it up" a bit, like adding colors, shades, whatever comes to your mind. The text is a bit too simple for my taste.

The site is just an interim site.
Yeah, the logo is simple, but I like the simple, more elegant approach.
