I typically only post in 4 or 5 sections of the site. I log in, and go down the line. I pop in a section, look at the thread titles, and see the threads I've posted in by the little arrow on the icon. Then I decide, "do I wanna look in there?" Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Ah, I see. You should turn on subscriptions and choose to only subscribe to threads you posted in. I turn off e-mail notifications so that I don't get an e-mail every time. But in my Control panel, I see threads that I posted in that have new posts .
Pain of Salvation - Hallelujah - YouTube Not me, but still. I do not normally like this song, but PoS does an awesome take on it! Daniel Gildenlöw(Vocals) is amazing.
I used to wonder what people meant by subscribing to threads so at the very back end of last year I started subscribing. I used to do it the other way, just go through the entire forum {well, most of it} but subscribing is actually a really good way of keeping track of whatever had started off as of interest. And because it's in the control panel {I also don't use the e~mail notification. That would drive me more 'bonkers' than Wheelema already thinks I am}, once you click on the thread concerned, you then just click "First unread post" so you don't end up chasing waterfalls in the desert. Once I'm through the subscribed posts, then I go through the forum to pick up new scraps. You should turn on subscriptions and choose to only subscribe to threads you posted in. Yeah, I may not have posted in the threads I'm subscribed to. Some of them are just interesting topics on which I'm learning something, digging the argument or have no opinion on.I do this the same way. Makes it very easy to follow all the conversations.
Sometimes, as a mod, I'll subscribe to a thread without posting in it, just to keep an eye on it.
