Wow! nice design!
One of the best things that I did was exactly what you're doing, to keep a large portion of gear in a different room. That limitation forced me to develop ideas where, before, I was getting lost in the options. Now I have to make solid decisions to avoid running upstairs again and again.
Here's a list of keys:
SCI Pro-One
SCI Prophet 600
Kawai SX-240
Moog Opus
Realistic MG1
Wurlitzer 200A
Janssen upright piano
And I just picked up a Korg Monotron the other day. That sort of counts, right? I also have an SCI Tom drum machine; not a keyboard, but a neat and nerdy sound-maker nonetheless!![]()
Here's my bedroom studio. It's still a work-in-progress, but this is what I have so far! I make mostly alternative, rock, and reggae/ska in here, just to let you know what it's set up for. Enjoy!

Im messing around with setting up the 1202 and getting the best sound. So much to learn !!!
Fun pics, so I'll add mine to the mix, perhaps for some to chuckle and remember when they were just starting out. I made the "stand" to match the coffee table, and its clamped on the back with pads and a C clamp, so that it can someday be removed if I upgrade. Table doubles as a coffee table for those morning practice sessions. The 40g recording deck, two of the small mix boards and monitors and associated stuff, microphones included I think, fit into a stryofoam shipping crate that I have, and easily goes in the trunk of my Honda Accord.
It is what it is. View attachment 64433View attachment 64432
I haven't seen one of those Gorilla amps in years! I remember the speaker blew and we had a clear coned Ampeg speaker we stuck into it. It turned into a monster gorilla for sure. Never forget the sound it had.
Haha sweet! I picked it up used for $30 or $40 at a local music store as a small practice amp. It actually gets surprisingly loud.

I still have much work to do, but now I can enjoy listening as I work. The sound is wonderful in here.
I have the exact same desk, given to me by a neighbor who was going to throw it out, works great as a recording desk.
That looks awesome! Do you find it is too bright in there with all of that wood?
Very Nice set up gazzab. I'm a neewbie also. what type of keyboard controller is that? Can it control all DAW mixing movements in Pro Tools M-powered 8 and Logic Ezpress 9? I find using the mouse to be slow and clumsy. By the way I'm in Perth, AustraliaIt's a bit pants compared to most on here but it gets the job done:-
