Nice rack. (never thought I would say that to a guy!)

I have a set of homemade racks for my studio.

Do you have pics of the rest of your studio setup?

Other than my rack, my studio furniture isn't all that impressive... Yet. I'm working off a cheesy oak desk. However, in March, I'm headed back to my wood supplier in Vermont for a couple more 20" wide mahogany boards to make a new desk that will match the rack. I can post sketches of you want.

I'm in Portland visiting my father until Tuesday. I'll post some pics of my current setup then.

I wish I was as cool as you guys......Back when I was 14 you were lucky if you could get/afford a 4 track porta studio...And there was no internet for forums....Man that just made me feel old.

Technominds..I signed up to your studio share...I'll try and post something later...I'm heading to my studio now. I'll try and post between the 2 sessions I have today...They are old pics. I don't think I have anything new.

hi everyone,,,

very impressive set ups you all have,,,

unfortunately,,,,i'm quite new to all this,,and i still live at home,,,,,so i'm suitably ashamed of my setup (to the eye),

but if any of your care to take a look at my basic wiring diagram and basic spec, and pass comment,,,,i'd be glad to hear how good or bad a starting point i have!lol

ps
pc spec :- p4 prescott 3.0ghz HTT W/ 4GB DDR400,200GBstorage,dvdrw.

software :- sony vegas 6.0c soundforge 8 and acid 5(dont use acid)

thanks all!

Okay I added some.....Don't yell at me if they are to big....I tried to make them smaller...But they start to look stupid...Plus I'm burnt after a long session...I'm going to go back stuff up now..

Let me know if they need to be smaller...

Its cool, I have a auto-resize tool in admin for the thumbnails. Il do that now!

Thanks for the pics!

That's a lot of one brand (the "B" word) you got there. You gotta start somewhere though. I'm not familiar with the unit on the left? What is is it? Do work with it under the piano like that or is it in the "out of the way/standing by storage" location?

hey technominds
how do i upload photos onto your site

Just register, go into a group and click 'Upload' i the corner. Simple as anything!

if u go up a bit, i posted a diagram of how its all setup.(featuring the desk on the left)
still live at with parents,,,,so very very very limited space,,,,hense the desks sit under the piano!

the sl2442fx (right)was sold, and the mx2642a was bought,,,,so i now only have the mx2642a, but i think thats better cos the fx were so limited on the sl, and the mx has direct outs for my terratec.

honestly,,,,,with the right knowledge/experience,,,what kinda of quality would you expect to get from this lot.
im trying to find a way to link an mp3, but none of the webspace providers seem fond of 8.5mb mp3s??n e ideas?

i record mainly piano ,acoustic and vocals(with drums) @24 bit 88or96.

thanks again.

Hey. Just thought id add my recently constructed acoustic panel. Its a 2x4 ft wooden frame with a thin mdf back, filled with roof insulation and covered with curtain lining. Based on the ones by Jeff Strong.
