This looks really nice, I like that everything in one place, well done! I think you have a lot of inspiration in this studioMy wife and I used to live in a spacious house and I had plenty of room for recording. However, we recently moved into a more manageable unit, and my studio has shrunk to a re-purposed garage, It turned out to be a cosy workable space, and I had been going increasingly minimalist over the years anyway. I have enough room to record small acts, and I have a travelling rig to go out and record bigger ones.
Ah, it's a pity it got broken! Thank you for sending the link, I will check it out! Wow, so many! So interesting, thank you for sharingI started with a german pearwood tenor recorder I bought in 1976. Cost about £30 at the time, which was a fair bit.
It had a lovely tone, but unfortunately got trapped in a door and cracked.
There's a great shop for recorders (worth a browse):
I was short of money to get a replacement, so bought some plastic recorders.![]()

First was a soprano recorder by Flauto, made of abs, just to try them.
Next, I bought Yamaha 300 series Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass.
Plastic is not so good for tone, or staying dry, but hey I got recorders covered.
I would love to get some wooden ones, but they cost.
Also, I'll look at getting that first one fixed someday.
