its actually not that bad a guitar..I needed a cheapo and Ive always liked washburns....Ive added one more synth and another bass and guitar, plus some room treatment since that shot.....no more though :)

Your guitar is a guitar of the gods compared to what I'm using :p

I guess that I'm in need of a lava lamp for I see that in almost every shot of everyone's studio. :D

:cool:

you must have a pretty shit guitar...to tell you the truth my favourite is a little squire that I junked everything on other than the neck and body...its only got a volume knob and a very hot humbucker and sounds fucking mental....:D

Not so much a studio. more of a jam room that is rigged up for live recording. a work in progress.

I love this! What a great warm room to chill and create in. How are your recordings coming out? Do you get too much room sound in your tracks or is there just enough treatments to leave a little 'ambience'?

here's my current setup, I'm going to be moving to my own place very soon so it will be nice split it up a bit. all my records and all but 1 turntable (i have another 1200 in the flight case) will go in the lounge as thats the more social side of things, all the rest will be in the studio at a nicer (lower) working height, plus then i'll have room for a few more bits, new mixer maybe.

Please tell me that you can fry eggs in there too. . . Sorry man that the first studio I've seen with counter tops. :o

Wal-mart guitar for now :eek::(

if i leave the states Im going to post you one of my electrics...thats a promise...

:eek::o

That's incredibly nice of you man, but I couldn't accept it.

Let me get a decent mix down and maybe then I might feel more deserving :D

The good news is I figured out what was wrong with my guitar tone on that last run. Once I get the opportunity to crank my amp again I'll retrack the guitars and get the mix up :)

nope done deal...yup retrack and get it up..its a pain but thats what you have to do :)

New project

Here's some pics of our new recording space...doesn't quite look or feel like a studio! Just a recording space :cool:

It's obviously not finished yet...just waiting for the new apple to arrive!

Bluebird Mic

Vocal "booth" (basically a padded out corner surrounded by a duvet suspended by a mic stand)

The desk; will have a stand for the midi controller, and the speakers will be at ear level...iMac will be on the desk! (and a cooler, more comfortable chair!)

Rather nice t.c.electronic fire wire interface

And we also have the obligatory lava lamps raring to go!

More pictures when it's all set up and ready to go!

Hope pictures aren't too many/big!

I feel like I'm shouting...!

We bought some shaped sponge/foamy stuff...my wife insisted on sewing covers onto them for aesthetic pleasure.

It does look rather funky though, thanks!

My studio's under construction right now, and I broke my lava lamp moving all the gear out of the way.

I'm gonna christen the new room with TWO lava lamps. It'll be like, so stereo, dude...

Get some bass traps when you can. Corners and the back wall are great starting points.

My 2 cents

I was fortunate enough to, while doing an addition, do a room in a room. The dimensions are hard to describe as the room is a trapezoid (9.5 ft front, 11 ft back, 13 ft long 9 ft tall) I am building a cloud to hang over mix position today.
As you can see things are not quite finished. Be kind :o

Looks good. How thick are those corner panels? They should be at least 4" thick...
