Alright Just one more question to bug you all with.

How do I convert a MIDI file to a .WAV file?

I tried just playing the MIDI file and recording it to the .WAV file but it gets all distorted. I have the MIDI song just the way I want it and just need to make it a .WAV file.

Is there another method to do this? Is there any software to do it better?

Thanks Again for all your Help!!!!!

A search on yahoo.com brings back quite a few hits.

Here is one:

It's a demo though.

What software do you use to record? It may have some feature that would allow you to do this.

From a brief article I read, the conversion is hit and miss, but it was dated 1999, so maybe things have improved.

Sound forge works well for this, they may have a free demo, I dont know. It is quick and has never failed me.

As Emeric stated, what software are you using to create the midi. It very likely has a way to convert it to .wav.

Cakewalk for example, allows you to record the midi to audio, and then export everything to a finished stereo wave file.

Or...

Go OUT of your sound card, back IN to your sound card.

That should enable you to record your MIDI file as a WAV. file. :)

I'am using Cakewalk Home Studio 9.
I cant figure out how to do it.

Can I make a .WRK or .BUN into a .WAV or MP3?

Thanks,
Scott

You can't directly convert a WRK or BUN file to WAV or MP3. Those formats can at most be two tracks, a.k.a. stereo. You have to mix the tracks you want down to a stereo WAV or MP3 file.

It's quite clearly described in the manual/help system; maybe this article at the Cakewalk website is clearer:
