J Station Bass settings

Greetings!

I love my JJS for recording guitar. Phenomenal sounds.

What I'd appreciate are some tips for recording some killer bass tones with it!

Are there any presets you guys like, and if so do you further tweek them in your mix, or leave them alone?

The Paul's patch is cool if you're after an SVT tone. The gate is great, specially when playing live.

Make sure you have the latest version and try the new bassman preset.

Yes, make sure to download and install the latest firmware version, as it has some good bass amp/cab models added.

The big thing I see is that there's too much gain on the presets. Turn it down a little and it's better.

Some compression and you're in business.

Once again, J-Edit is imperative!
