Install an EMG 85 active pickup in the bridge,...and still leave a passive pickup
in the kneck, as long as the switch is still there, to switch between 'em?
I'm kinda in a hurry to install this pickup for my guitarist, as we do have a
show to play tomorrow, and the strings need to be stretched out tonight at practice...but I was wondering if I can still leave the passive pickup in the kneck position (hooked up)...along with hookin' the EMG 85 in the bridge?
I've installed this pickup once before, for him on the same exact guitar (he has 2 Jackson professional king V's - same exact guitars)...
but, the last time I installed it on his other Jackson,...I disconnected the kneck pickup, and just hooked up the passive 85.
Just wonderin' if this could be done without runnin' into any problems?
Or should I just disconnect the the passive in the kneck and install the active in the bridge (where he wants it)...and not worry about any problems
arising...?
Anyone?
I've looked for some threads on this,...but no luck findin' any info.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
