I couldn't find a similar thread, so here it goes!

Today, I got two AKG C414 B-ULS mics in perfect condition on ebay. They are mismatched from separate sellers, but they both come with frequency response charts so we'll see how they compare. I payed close to 600 USD for each. I hope that's not too much. I also got a refurbished Audio-Technica AT4050 from 8thstreet.com for 350 USD. I'll post back in here with what I hope will be quite the rave.

I just aquired a brand spankin new alternator for my Chevy Blazer! It has much lower self noise than the one I was using before, and a frequency response from 800-4000 rpm. :rolleyes:
Congrats on the 414s and the 4050, I hope they sound even better than my new alternator.
 
GT EQ-1 single channel tube equalizer. Matches the one I already have, which go with the 2 MP-1s I have (GT single channel tube mic preamps). Cool and obscure :D
 
I just got a tatooo and a new overdrive pedal. I also just spent 300 on mic cables :|

Seriously, I just bought a Bayan System accordion made by Weltmeister. ;)

I just bought a Casio WK 3700 that looks to be like a decent addition to my project studio even if I can't play keyboards worth a crap. It was the draw bar organ and string tones that did it for me. :)

As a bagpiper, the other one I've heard is that "Only the devils instruments change shape" or variations on that theme...

um, recent aqusitions?
a 200 gig SATA drive, 12 by 24/96 tracks, each 2.5 hours long, 4 miniDV tapes, 20 cups of coffee and 2 sleepless nights.

I don't suppose they count, do they?
