Hey Guy's, I'm New To This Stuff But I'd Really like your help on something i've came across. I bought the apogee symphony i/o mkii & the burl audio b2 bomber adc & i'd like to know how is the two connected. I Also have my universal audio teletronix la-2a with me so it's just a mic preamp i have to really get. But yes can you give me a diagram or any DETAILED advice on how it's connected? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks Guys.:)

The Symphony is a converter - The Bomber is a converter. You use one or the other. I mean, you could theoretically use both at the same time, assuming you choose a master clock and what not. Interface dependent also. How are you interfacing these to your DAW?

Otherwise, it's just like anything else -- Outputs go to inputs. "Detailed" is in the eye of the beholder -- It depends on how YOU want everything connected.

So Basically If I Choose To Use The Bomber, I Could Forget The Symphony & Just Use An Interface?
Btw I Wanna Use A Separate Word Clock Like The Antelope Isochrome Or Something.
Or Mainly Just Forget About All Of Those & Just Use The AVID HD I/O Interfaces With A Neve 1073LB Mic Pre.

What exactly is your goal as far as recording? Are you recording full bands all at once or just yourself a couple tracks at a time? This is what we need to know to give you useful advice. If your goal is to record just yourself then sell all that stuff, get a small self-contained interface and invest the balance in mics, monitors and acoustic treatment.

Don't use an external word clock unless you have a specific need, like multiple ADCs that need to be clocked together. It's been shown that external clocking degrades the audio compared to almost any internal clocking. External word clocks are not upgrades, they are necessary evils. By the way, how is it that you're "really new to this" and already investing in such high end gear? Something doesn't add up.

well you would connect the b2 to the symphony via AES.

Its always good to clock even with just one converter.

even though your gear shouldn't jitter like those cheap usb and firewire interfaces.
