OMG!
This is a song from my band, The Premier. It's a pretty relaxed song. It'll most likely be the first or last song on our CD. I feel like I'm not getting it right, though. I can't seem to get the backup vocals to sit well. It's me singing them, though. It could just be my imagination. The harmonies towards the end.. they're either too loud or they're too soft.. I can't seem to find a happy medium. Any suggestions?

Let me know what you think. If you any suggestions on fixing it.. please let me know.

Thanks.

They sound good in cans. I will listen again on my monitors...

They are a tad bit loud there. Are you using an compression on the backing vocals?

Yea. Apparantly my voice is really jumpy. Certain notes are really loud, so randomly it'll sound overcompressed. Grr.

You render/bounce each track individually Geet.
Making sure they all have the same start time.
Make sure there are no effects on.
Faders set to zero.
Same bit resolution and sample rate as the session.
Make sure they are wav. files, then put them into a zip. file and send them to NL5, he will then send me a link so i can grab them.

Alright. I figured it was that.. but I was being lazy. Ha. I've got my own hosting. I'll PM you the link. I'd love to offer some of my tracks up for a PMC sometime. It's be really interesting to hear how it comes out.

Cool, ill mix it up as soon as i get the link.

Sounds pretty good... the singer is out of key a bit but I'm pretty hypersensitive to pitch. I like the vibe of the bit reduced low fi snare in the background.

Here you are geet whatcha think?
Oh, i took the drum thing out BTW, i didnt like it.

Pretty cool. I thought the autotune got a little much sometimes, heh. I like what you did with the second guitar.

I like that drum track though. Ha. It was meant to be an ambient kinda thing, but my band told me to put it louder. Meh.

I do believe I might steal some ideas from you. :-)

Have all the fun you want with it, I can't promise I'll use it though, heh. I'll definitely show it to the band, though.

the end harmonies sound great. its that one backing voice in the verses that sounds off right? I think its cuz you used the same exact recording channel. try a different mic or something. also it has too much presence. the song sounds really great though. u make it sound effortless.

I don't have anything else to use. Ha! I'm allll budget stuff here. The most expensive mic I used was an AKG D112. Pretty bad, eh?

Maybe I'll redo my tracks with a 57 or something.

My voice is too bright, or something.

Thanks for the comments.
