OK everyone,

I've updated the web page (previous message).. with the exception of some details on the Profiles page, everything is up to date. Feedback/suggestion, then we need to take some action!!!!!!!!

OK yeah I just saw the site thing, I've been away for a while. I don't know if you'd care but I'm pretty good at graphical design and all, wondering if you'd like me to do something for your site?

I use to do work for my fathers DTP'ing company... web sites aren't my speciality, however that one was completely written in notepad, no help from any external editors.... It will surfice for the time being until this project gets under way.

Thanks mate... which recording program do you use? ... just so I can update the Profiles page.... I'll do it tomorrow. It's just after midnight here.. bed is calling.... THEN, hopefully tomorrow night I'll finish my songs... either then or Wednesday night.

Thanks for posting the lyrics since most of it is not understandable in the project as posted. Disclaimer:That was my first song posting attempt with Sonar and I know theres lots of recording isssues but the lyrics were the primary inspiration anyway

I had a look at the CakeWalker's Home Page. It looks quite good, you've done well.

How about we post pictures of ourselves and our gear on the page? Do you see any merit in that?

You'll have to specify picture format and file size though if you think it's worthwhile.

I thought of putting a pic up there, however I designed the page for 800X600 (ie profiles page just fits in the window)... should I just design it for 1024X768? Opinions?

If I include a list of gear I might as well create a page for every user to put a pic and a profile, ie sample questions then get them to e-mail me... now because this is a 'groups' site, should we include e-mail addresses?

I'd love to get more feedback... keep it coming in.

Give everybody a day or two to respond, Porter. So far as I'm aware only Jaymz is on our timezone. And he seems to be preoccupied at the moment with testicular irritation. :)

The chaps over in USA land are chucking out zeds at the moment. As soon as they wake up they'll rush into their dens and start hammering at the keyboard, you'll see. ;)

I must confess, whenever I see the phrase need feedback I'm always tempted to reply: Turn your amp up to 10 and hold your guitar infront of the speaker... :D

I think Moskus mentioned something about a submission he is working on. or was he joking. OR was it even him?

Ive got plenty of time when it comes to waiting for a song to get picked for us to work on. Its what I should do after that which could be the problem

I would set a date for us to get started if I was the Producer.
Then At least everyone would know when there song of choice must be submitted by. IMHO no maybe that should be IMO :)

Porter ,have you figured out how we'll decide on a song yet? Is it the vocalist/s (Jagular,dachay) who pick or should we put it to a vote from all those involved? Or should we put our songs in a hat and just pick one.

Is our intention to do something for the HR3 CD?:D
If so
A cover is out unless its Mozart or something else free of copyright.

We also could just put out a theme and have everyone write some lyrics, thow it all together and pick out only what we like.
Thats becomes kind of a writing collaboration as well.

I would like to see more rough drafts to pick from maybe Ill submit a second.:)

OK, so what are we responding to. So far I've seen a variety of ideas thrown out that no one seems to be warming up to.

Bill is correct, if we do a cover that let's out Homerec Comp 4, and also NWR for posting. However, it is certainly an easier way to get us started (assuming we can agree on a song :) ).

If we are going to do an original, then I say let Jagular pick it - since he'll be singing it.

Writing one collaboratively would make this project even more cumbersome IMHO. If we want it to get off the ground, we've got to make it easy. Maybe it should just be a jam to a standard blues progression. Or a simple standard like Twist and Shout or Money or something. Just more food for thought.

BTW, I see Pedulist's name up on the web site. Has he even agreed to do this?

err..., BTW, indeed I tried to lay some tracks down here :) There's so many idea came thru my mind about these songs, however, when I import them in SONAR as guide track, they won't match any tempo... :confused: so I kindly request, if during making "mp3 demo" process, you guys should follow tempo :)

Porter, the song (So I'll dream) was played on "B" and overtuned in the middle to "C#". Did you mean to play it on "C" overtuned to "D" ? Sorry, but it's little difficult to play on "B" on certain instruments (violin, trumpet ?) :) So, if you don't mind to play it on "C", then problem will be eliminated :o I tried to lay some quick drums track with toms, but somehow it sounds like "With or without you" (U2) :D

wfaraoni, I tried also replacing the drum part on Moonbeams . As it has backing sequenced drums, it should be more easier for me to do :) Anyway, what's the tempo did you set ?

well, overall, all I did just put some raw drums tracks on both songs, cause I find it's a bit difficult to think of adding another instruments without actualy have drums and basses laid down first :) After it has basic "guide pattern", I'll see what I can do to add, and leave the drums to be changed by other if necessary :o

Hey Porter, nice website !!! :) a little correction would be Bill's name right beside the song on Project page... should it be Bill Faraoni instead of Bill Waraoni ? I could be wrong anyway... :D
