I have the Zoom GFX-606!!! :D :D :D Beat that!

James, if you can't afford a POD, then you should really hear the V-Amp 2. It's amazing considering the price. :)

Hehe! :D :D I see your point. ;)

Behringer... yeah, I know. But come on! This is Norway! It's expensive! ;)

I've been working my ass of the whole summer! Not even time to record! And what monitors can I afford? Oh yes, the Behringer Truths! :( They cost $875!!!!!!!

So, Behringer is the top on your country, eh ? :) No wonder...
Anyway, down here in Indoland, it's Roland / Boss. Everybody seems to get crazy about it. You are not "guitarist" enough if you didn't have one... Roland is sooo expensive here, while Zoom is the cheapest (mine were only ~$ 35 each !!!)... Actualy out very own dobro bought them in Singapore for me, since there were close out sale few months ago in Singapore...
Ms Windows is the cheapest over the world here !!! Retail XP Home edition original is only ~$80 now !!!!

Bloody hell!

But I have to say, Norway is the most expensive country in the world, without any shadow of a doubt. Beer is $15 a glass:eek: And don't even ask how much cars cost. Even a guitar pick would cost $10:eek: :(

Except the most expensive company car my old company used to run was a Nissan in Singapore which cost us $65,000 per year because of the toll road fees in the City Centre. Not even the Chairman of the company's Mercedes SEC500 AMG cost that much to run.

Go on, ask Moskus tell us how much % tax you pay, you'll all think you are hard done by until he tells you what he gets charged. Even makes our 40% UK top rate of tax look cheap.

But there is a good trade in smuggling stuff in from Germany, Sweden, UK and Denmark;) Isn't that right Moskus:D

15 dollars a glass?!!!!! should be 3 at the most :x

...then moskus must be very rich man

...can't you see he's drunk all the way anytime ? :D :D :D

When you only have 4.5 million people and are the second largest Oil Producer in the world, the wealth gets spread around , but the taxes are crippling.

Its a great country to get ill in, state pays all...just like the UK. Except our "free" health service is crap, whilst in Norway.......:)

Twenty five years ago, the biggest export was smoked herrings and wood pulp.

Now its Oil and Gas. But for how long.......?

James, Indonesia had a stack of gas reserves, whats happening to em? They don't seem to be developing them at all.

Not until we know *how*
I mean, we got plenty of oil & gas but noone knows how to deal with it efficiently to make a good out of it (way & cost effective). We used to export the raw to other countries (OPEC?) and let them do the process. In fact, *they* are the ones who gets rich out of our oil... :p Looks like we "keep" it for last, I think :) When it comes to oil, so many interest related, eh ? I don't know much about it anyway :o

hey... we just talked beer... then oil... what a jumping jack flash... :D

Does a Zoom 505 (original model) beat that?

So does anyone else have any suggestions for a song? Any more submissions? We need to start to plan when this song thing is going to happen.

Porter

Didn’t the song “Reminiscing” by The Little River Band have a trumpet solo in it? I always liked that song.

I think for the Cakewalk Forum’s second project I/we should write a song about cool kids using Cakewalk. Then we can all record it and send it to CW to see if they want to use it for promotion or advertising. Of course, if it’s really good…maybe we can license it to them and each make $1.50 or so from it :D

Me, too.

I don't recall if the recorded version had a trumpet. The band itself has no horns in it.

Another suggestion: You're The Biggest Part of Me by Ambrosia. I don't recall offhand what instrumentation was used in it, but I seem to think there was a lot going on.

OOOOO....that's a good un too :D

I'm hearing a trumpet solo in my head still for "Reminiscing" so damn it...it must have been there :D:D

Remember that even if it didn't have it in there at the beginning, we can add one ourselves in our version!!!!

So no one has any more suggestions for song?

Porter

I just listened to both songs. You're right, John, Reminiscing does have a trumpet solo. In fact the song ends on it.

Here's what I think the instrumentation is for both of them:

Reminiscing: Guitars, Bass, Drums, Bongos, Keyboard, Strings (a lot of strings!), Trumpet.

You're the Biggest Part of Me: Keyboard, Bass, Guitar, Drums. Piano, Sax.

And, of course, as Porter suggested, we can always add things anyway.

So, Dachay, as head Honcho Vocal recording person, Sonar megastar and award winning artiste, not to mention all round red wine swiggging, cigar chewin good guy, which song are we going to cover then? You choose......;)

Lets just get to it, I'm gettin bored.

Everyone, Dachay is an accomplished Completer/finisher, he does this stuff all the time, he has a proven track record (no pun intended), knows what he's doing and is an accomplished recordist and more importantly, a seasoned music Producer.

So I vote him leader:cool:
