Help me produce my band's album!!!! YAY!!

I used to laugh at threads like this, because when all was said and done, the WORST thing that could happen is that guys give up, rather quickly, and I get to buy second hand gear real cheap

The truth today though, is that any retard with a soundblaster can make a radio quality song

Of course, if you want to aim for a loftier goal than radio quality, say, something that sounds a thousand notches higher like "acceptable quality" or FSM forbid, "good" then NOW were talking :)

:cool:I actually fear when one of my pieces seems to sound like something I’ve heard, i paranoidly keep asking people around me "does this sound like these dudes"

funny thing is i really don't listen to modern music, like much at all i don't watch TV like l mean i don't own a TV at all, so when someone said the word EMO to me I asked them to explain what it was.

I’ve since figured out (by the way I’m an economic genius not because of my intellect though)

EMO is just re-badged marketed version of what we used to call a "Goth" I instantly had an Alien satellite beamed vision into my head of a SONY BMG guy in a suit hanging out with his friend: it went like this:

He was a Marketing man he says: "oh yeah" (laughs) "by the way ever heard of EMO?"

Friend: "yeah we have all heard of EMO"

Marketing man: (laughs) "Well, I made it!"

Friend "what do you mean?"

Marketing Man : "the whole thing. I thought it up.. The clothes, the music idea (which is just punk kinda)"

Sony BMG Marketing Man ; "yeah i got a fuckin great bonus for that one!"

hey EBB yeah I talk a lotta shit but it's all truth, i don't really know how to play instruments as such, yet people are surprised at the sound most of my songs i would have to re-learn as i don't remember exactly how to play them i just kinda write them as they record.

I’ve thought a lot about why that is and i do actually believe an alien satellite is in fact in touch with me.

There is a small but deep hole above my left ear lobe it goes into my temple and I don’t know why for sure. I’ve had it checked out and been told it’s a small but deep hole. (by the way it’s not my ear hole ha ha )
I’m not disfigured it looks about the size of an ear ring hole but goes right in my girlfriend found it.

I get addicted to these forums when i'm idle as i am now as i'm waiting to get some discs pressed.

so i should go do some work but i get so depressed sometimes.

(the one i like but dosn't sound as good as it did when i was writing it)(i aim to capture the thing i have when writing staight away)

Trk 3:
- Dx on the 31 meter band.
(people tell me it's a rock song so i changed it with the melody you hear there.) ( i just didn't want rock in this instance)

if you asked me to i could not play any of those songs. with out going back and looking at them.

this is my old stuff, but if you vaugely like it you will reall REALLY like my new stuff.
wow i can't tell you how excited i am about getting that out.

I think Red haired girl is a good "album" song I group songs into "album" or "hit".

unless you re-write it it's a good album song, doesn’t mean it's bad just means it's like one for your bigger Art appreciators. maybe a "live" song.

But “step into the sound” now you have got something there you just need to get that "feel" through the derogating process of recording without it loosing the "feel".

yeah now I’m hearing the next song you have something there also the bass riff drives it a tempo change? half way?

i see the potential there I mean that, take the interesting things and amplify them and destroy the generic things.

again so subjective is Art, that Radio host sounds hot for you.

RADIO host: "so where do you guys like to hang out?"

I didn't hear any hook. Matter of fact, it sounded like a pre-programmed keyboard demo song I heard on a casio keyboard once. Vocals were completely unintelligible, might as well not even bothered. Ever try recording real accoustic instruments in a real room? Give it a try sometime and tell me the room doesn't matter. Oh, and what's with the video of the EMO chick. Like that hasn't been done before.:rolleyes:

agreed...

actually was this song in english? i dunno i couldn't understand a word... he mumbles when he sings..

the song is repetitive and boring... the vocals are very pitchy and uninspired the whole way through. The chord progressions are generic and dull. pretty mediocre stuff.. not horrid by any means.. but i'd never listen to it again. I'm usually a little more supportive but when someone claims to be "one of the best songwriters in the world" you have to be straight up.

The guitar is in B I don’t know what a “Key” is I’m sorry people keep saying “what Key is it in?” I don’t know the one that opened my guitar case that day! That’s a lie I don’t even lock it.

I’m not pissing in your pocket I know a key is something to do with where it is played on the guitar but I never bothered to learn what they are.

But the top string (low string) is tuned to B. then the rest of the guitar to that.

It’s a magical song I hope you like it …..welll….ha ha
