Help me out guys

im only 17 and im new to recording.
i recently bought the tascam M-1641 UF to do recording and KRK ROKIT 5's for my studio monitors.
im looking at now purchasing a headphone amp.
at the moment my 2 choices are:
behringer HA8000
behringer ha4700

im not exactly sure how i would connect these up to my mixer and monitors etc. so it would be great if someone would explain exactly how you connect headphone amplifiers to your rig.
and which one would be better?

Why do you think of a headphone amp? Do you need to plug-in eight headphones? What's your set-up?
 
Yeah I do need to plug in about 6 headphones.
My setup is that simple:
Tascam m-1641UF
KRK ROKIT 5 monitors
As well as various other things that include sansamp bass D.I, line 6 pod hd 500, shure drum mic pack just to name a few.
Can you help me out by explaining how the headphone amps I was looking at would actually be connected?

The HA4700 is more versatile, but the HA8000 has more outputs. You need the outputs more than you need the function, so get the HA80000. You could connect any of the line outputs (1 through 4) of the Tascam to the headphone amp.

So I wouldn't need to connect the monitors to the headphone amp?

Your model number threw me off, so what I said above isn't quite right. You'd use the Aux 1 output of your mixer to drive the headphone amp's Main Input 1 Left (Mono).
 
Would it be possible for each channel on the headphone amp to have its own mix of each channel of the desk though?

Not with that desk. At best you can have two, but one of them would be post-fader, which is not optimal.
