Well, now he's going to hide the hole with a bigger hole.
However, when he was going to repair it, he was going to push up the wood from the inside, make it smooth (as smooth as possible) and put re-enforcements on the back. He was going to sand down the rough spots and re-finish that area. It was going to be visible but I didn't care if you could see it. Pretty much what everyone here told me to do.
Now, he's going to put a pick-up on it with an on-board pre-amp.
