Hey everyone. I'm completely new to the world of hammond. I picked up an L-103 for $40. I'm stoked right! But now to the task of getting her to really sing again. It starts up and plays ok, but several drawbars are not generating tone. (I hope I'm using the correct verbage.) In other words, when I keep all draw bars at 0 and pull one out gradually, while holding a key no tone generates. I've pulled off the back and top as well as the metal protective plate. All of the drawbar connections are connected at the drawbar, except for one. I know I need to clean the contacts, but if that doesn't work, where else could the disconnect be? I'm sure this is basic, but I'm having a hard time finding the answers elswhere. Thank you for your help.

Good on you for getting the L Nate. Great price. There is very little that goes wrong with these that cannot be fixed. Here is the forum you need to answer all your questions regarding the L. All here are very very helpful.

I wouldnt know...Ive left my M3 on the "Green Onions" settings for as long as Ive had it....does it do that tone well?

great score

I'm no expert but I have an M3 and it doesn't have foldback so some of the highest drawbar registers won't sound on the highest notes. I think that may be the case with all the spinets. Foldback can be added.

I'm sure the guys over at the organ forum will help you. I just picked up the M3 in June and finally got a Leslie 147 this week. Man, does it ever sound sweet!

I wish I could've found a deal like you got. I had to give $125 and drive almost 3 hours each way to get the M3. And the Leslie? Oh I don't even wanna talk about it! $$$ But worth every penny!

Congrats, tonewheel fever is spreadin' fast.
