Is that what I think it is?
I don't know.... what do you think this is?

If I show you the headstock, it makes things too easy.. But it came out of Kalamazoo, and it ain't a Gibson.

Well, obviously it's an ES-175 shape. P-90s. The tail piece and bridge says Epiphone Premium. The maple top is not Gibson or Epiphone,
I'm gonna say it's a Heritage H-575. Special order with the P-90s, and the pick guard has been removed.

It’s a Heritage then. Unfortunately they have just about the ugliest headstock ever.

For my taste? That is a stunning piece of workmanship. It checks all of my boxes and rings every single bell. Chances of ever getting my hands on an instrument that gorgeous are slim and none,
Just crazy beautiful. My hats of to @TalismanRich. Y'all got a beauty there

Actually it's an H-525. Laminate body instead of the carved top. Its also slightly thinner than the 575. A friend had it, and I told him if he was ever selling, let me know. I loved the way it sounded, so when I got the chance I jumped.

Gee, I didn't realize I was on the Gear Page. It's just too bad that I bought my first one before I realized that I was supposed to hate it, and then bought another. Guess what, they are excellent guitars.

They are excellent guitars with a butt ugly headstock that looks like it was grafted on from a early 80’s Aria pro2.

Their ugly headstock is why they were never very popular even though they are good guitars.
"if you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife. In my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you" -- Jimmy Soul (1963)

That lawsuit was not specifically because of the headstock shape.

A few years ago I was looking for a 335. The best two I played were owned by a friend - a 59 and 61, neither were for sale and were more than I could pay. I played a few fantastic Historic models.

I ended up buying a blonde 535 with a top Gibson would charge through the roof for. The headstock never bothered me and I liked the pickups. It was very affordable, too. I think it was $1200.

I have a 60s ES-355 and a 60s 330. The 535 has satisfied my 335 itch... for now :)

I just sold a early 1980's Vantage les paul copy (bolt on neck)..it looks like heritage copied their headstock.
It was a cool looking guitar but I really didn't care for the headatock.
Heritage should have just copied the Gibson headstock and not have the cutout in the middle that makes it "open book".
Their guitars would look way cooler and probably sell better.
