So I was browsing the GuitarWorld website, checked out the Marshall Mode Four Review...........bear in mind this is a 350 watt solidstate amp.

"I began by selecting Amp 1’s clean mode, and was floored by its sheer power and available headroom."

FLOORED by its sheer power and AVAILABLE HEADROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS 350 watts!!

What did he expect?

Wait wait wait.....................

It gets better.

Speaking on the science of amplification it states;

"As the science of amplification moves forward, players and manufacturers have had to adjust their approaches to creating great tone. For instance, while all-tube amps have their advantages, they are bound by limitations."

Thats why all the boutique amps are made solidstate:eek:

I mean.........tube.....I thought.......

huh

I don't remember seeing a $5000 solidstate amp before.

It's amazing how little bribe money it takes to make the fat man sing.

Yeah,

I think user reviews are much more honest, no one is paying them to lie.

If I want to get the truth about a certain piece of gear, I allways start by asking right here, most likely someone has used it, and will offer up an honest opinion

I've had the chance to play a Mode 4 before. It has some interesting tone but its just to loud. On top of that feedback is a major problem.

I'll take my Peavey XXX head any day over the mode 4.

i've tried a mode 4 also. its an OK amp.

i have a peavey solid state bandit that i like better. between my peavey bandit, fender hot rod deville, along with a Boss blues driver, I can get most any sound i want to. Thank God im not shopping for amps anymore.

reviewers are doing what most of us have to do - earn a living. Basically they are dudes who write infomercials and disguise them as the news...

Not much different than any other capitalist or politician.

I actually knew a basement pseudo-engineer who went on to write reviews for EM. That guy was definitely a hustler.

Don't trust any review.
